When I was a little girl my grandparents lived in the Sudan; my grandfather worked as an administrative manager of a sugar cane factory. After my grandfather died on Sunday, my parents went over to his house and collected all the pictures and mementos......there were lots of pictures of Africa and of my grandmother holding little adorable African babies........it was so great to see. She would be so happy that Blake and I are adopting from Ethiopia. When she was alive she used to tell us stories about living in the Sudan; stories of the poverty and the sadness, but also of the wonderful people that she befriended. My Grandparents first placed Africa in my heart.......so when God placed adoption in our hearts, we knew which country was right for us......and I know my grandparents will be smiling down from heaven when I make my first journey to the Forgotten Continent...........Africa.
