To my baby in Africa....
You don’t grow in my belly and sleep in my womb…………You don’t live beneath my skin….. safe in a little room…………. But I know that you’re with me………I feel you in my heart…….and once we’re together, never again will we part. You can’t hear my heart beating as you grow day to day……….You can’t feel me walking and fall asleep to the sway……….. But I know that you hear me, when I pray for you at night………I know that you feel me underneath the African moonlight……. I don’t carry you with me, like a pea in a pod…………I don’t have a pregnant glow or a hot momma bod……… But I keep you in my heart wrapped up in my love………..and I know that God is protecting you from his kingdom above…… He’ll be my arms to hold you late at night……..He’ll be my hands to wrap you warm and tight…….He’ll keep you safe until I’m there……….He’ll remind you everyday how much I care……. I’m coming for you as fast as I can………across the ocean to a foreign land…….I know that you’re with me……I feel you in my heart……..and once we’re together we two shall never part. To my baby in Africa……….Momma loves you…..
