When Blake and I first started the adoption process I sent out a mass email to individuals and businesses here in Jackson and in Ethiopia. I probably sent the email to about 200 people and I received one response from an Ethiopian woman that works for Ethiopian airlines. I decided to try to stay in contact with her, thinking that it may help us get a deal on our airline tickets. I wrote her a couple of times since them just chit chatting about the adoption, nothing too detailed….. Then this morning I had an email from her that floored me………..I am going to paste it below….
Dear Chelsa,
It is nice to hear from you. I am so surpised to seesome concidences. I don’t know what God is going todo. I have no information regarding adoption what Iknow is that people are adopting from Ethiopia, thatis all.
As I told you before I am working in EthiopianAirlines have no time for related matters. Last timewhen I got your email I was just thinking of onedeserate young lady who my parents and younger sistersand brothers help. She is living near the churchwhere my family goes. They tried to help her and hermother. Tried to maintain somebody’s kitchen where theladys are allowed to stay. (they have no home) Theyoung lady who is only 19 has a 4 year old baby boy.The poor young lady was not serious about life andagain get pregent. My sisters where so upset. In themiddle of this, one day I told them my communicationwith you. And they insited to tell you about thepregent lady. But I refused that because we don’t knoweven she will have the baby or not and I ignored them. The next thing is I don’t now the process that youwill be allowed to adopt anybody from anywhere that Idon’t know. Third I don’t know that you need recentlyborn or not. With all this doubts I decided to keepquite. Yesterday it was one of my younger sister engagement. Some body called and told my other sister that that young lady gave birth at hospital. And that sister of mine run to the hospital having some meal and drink to the girls. She was the one insisting foradoption.
Now I called home after I got you email and asked is she gave birth to a baby boy or a girl. They told meshe is a big beautiful baby girl.
I don’t now this has nothing to do with your dream ornot.
