Courtdate.........
There are like four families in front of us that haven't received their court dates and I am getting anxious........I just want to know approximately when we will know if he is officially ours and when I will be able to go scoop him up and bring him back. I want to know if I will travel in January or February.......I hope that he is safe and warm and getting enough to eat.........I hope, I wish, and I pray.

If it makes you feel any better, I've been encouraged by Benjamin Dawit's weight gain since he was referred to us- I think Getachew visits the orphanage and makes sure they are getting adequate food, and from what I've heard the caregivers are doing their best! But I totally understand the desire to go get your child- congrats, by the way- I can't believe it took me so long! Please email his pic to kikstra@chartermi.net-- I'd love to see him!
I'm thinking that just like the referrals, the court dates will come in a bunch. I know that doesn't make the wait any easier but I feel it will be soon.
By the way, a most hearty belated congratulations on your referral!!! That was extraordinarily quick!! I would love to see a picture of your little man if you're willing.
I know what you mean about the waiting for the court date. I didn't think we'd have to wait this long but I'm just trying to trust that this waiting maybe will be a good thing in the end.:-)
